hahay...its been a long time..karon pa ko kabaliik basa ani nga thread...

anyway, someone asked it there are evidences about the political killings...we may not all be aware of it, but there are already 800 cases of political killings...the United Nations is already looking into the matter...US senate is debating on cutting aid to the Philippines especially sa defense...Amnesty International had delved into this issue...their findings...ang mga militar ang responsable...but the administration denies the allegations...as if muangkon si Arroyo ug si Palparan ana???

in the case of federalism, what the proponents of the charter change says is that the philippines will be divided according to the regions...meaning ang mga regions mahimo na nga states...

i think the philippines is not yet ready for a federal system of government...a bit premature ang political culture of our people for such a change....taking indonesia for example, after their independence from the Dutch, they formed a federal republic, i think it was RUSI...im not sure...just review your history for it....anyway, the federal system did not work for the indonesians...ever since, they regarded federalism with disdain because it leads to political instability and disunity...
but i dont know, maybe the case of the philippines is different...still, i dont think it will work....
anyway, our system is not anymore highly centralized...since 1991 with the local government code passed during Aquino's presidency, political power has been decentralized and dispersed to the local governments...
